Question about travelling with my saxophone?
I'm travelling to the US soon, and I have to take my alto sax. It's in a fitted Selmer case, so I think it'll be allowed as carry on, and they let you take instruments onto the plane. If I take it on as carry-on luggage, am I still allowed to have a small backpack? I really don't want to put it under the plane, considering the cost and all.

Most airlines do allow one carry on luggage and one personal item such as a purse, laptop bag or small backpack. Check your airline's website for what they allow, on most airlines you should be okay as long as your sax (and case) are within your airline's allowance and your backpack is not too big.
