Why Is Staging Your Home Part Of Real Estate Marketing?
Is it really true that you have about thirty seconds to make a first impression? How long does the average house have to make a good impression? Most people know that 'curb appeal' is a reference to how attractive a home appears to a buyer parked in the street.
Some people are surprised when they learn how much time and effort has gone into the outside appearance of the home. This is especially true when they realize that the interior did not benefit from the same amount of attention that is needed to prepare for buyers.
That means you treat the family house like an off Broadway play and stage each room and what is in it to gain a favorable response.
Parents often teach their children that you cannot judge a book by its cover. They tell us that it is what is inside that count. Homes are also judged by what's inside. The exterior may create the initial attraction but what is inside can lead to a long time relationship.
The inside of your residence is your biggest opportunity to affect the potential buyers. Staging a home is something that many people do for a living. They may be licensed real estate agents or a private company with knack for showing off your home.
Many factors contribute to a buyer's reaction to your home. Exercise gear and pair of skinny jeans create an impression. A room for the seamstress, a home office, or artist area all has a distinct connotation.

Remember that clothing, photographs on the wall, and even your salt and pepper shaker collection can create a connection.
Get rid of non-essential items and decorative creatively and sparingly. A pile of pots and pans may not make the same impression as some healthy cooking vegetables and fruit displays. Your thoughtful staging can bridge and unite the positive feelings from the curb to the backyard.
