Here are three tips I use to help me deal with my bipolar disorder. These tips are the top three of a series of ten tips that I have. I have more than ten tips, but will only share a few of them.
Tip#1
Stay on Medicine prescribed by Psychiatrist:
This is very important. Different medicines work for different people with the same disorder. You must give time for your medicine to work. If after a week of using the medicine you feel too tired or you get some discomfort, then tell your doctor. When you find the right mix and dosage of medicine, stay on them.
Tip #2
Tell psychiatrist how you feel:
If you do not tell your doctor how you feel there is no way he can prescribe the right medicine for you. Anything you are feeling you must tell your doctor. If you feel too tired or if you feel to hyper, you must communicate to your doctor what you are feeling. The psychiatrist cannot read your mind. If you do not know how you are feeling then bring in someone who lives with you or has been around you a lot and can tell your doctor what has been happening to you. Maybe he/she sees you crying a lot and you don't tell that to your doctor then he/she can tell for you.
Tip #3
Stay optimistic:
Staying positive and thinking positive thoughts is always a good thing. Even smiling in front of the mirror will help. By staying optimistic different hormones will be released and they will be good ones. Belief is very powerful and if you believe you will be better than it is only a matter of time when you will be better.
