What is the best Alto saxophone mouthpiece?

I am looking into buying a C Star mouthpiece, and I was wondering if there is a better brand. Please help

You should choose your mouthpiece according to how you want to play. A C chamber mouthpiece has the most brilliant sound and is a good choice for a main mouthpiece. You may want to experiment with B chamber or A chamber mouthpieces for darker sound and more volume. I got my Selmer alto with a S 80 C Star mouthpiece and played it for 4 months before I decided to try for a darker sound. I got a Rico Royal A5 and my volume is greatly increased, and I think it sounds better. It depends on you and what you want to hear. I interchange them and you can really hear the difference. Don't worry about quality. The C Star is a good quality mouthpiece. Best of luck whatever you decide.
