OMC - How Bizarre
Sale Price: $8.98 |

I have issues playing the alto saxophone g, d, f,and d low notes without even pressing the octave key?
I own a vintage selmer bundy II alto saxophone.
Whenever I practice, I notice that my notes are not low pitch when they are supposed to be low pitch without me pressing the octave ke, when I start playing the note without me pressing the octave key... My notes are at octave pitch without me pressing the octave key. I see no leaks on my instrument.
How can I fix this problem? What is wrong? I have issues playing songs perfectly.
Could it be my embouchure? Overblowing air?
Can it be the saxophone pads?
There are about 2 to 3 pads that look somewhat worn.
My setup is:
Yamaha 4C Mouthpiece
Selmer Bundy II Alto Sax
Rico#2.5 Alto Saxophone reed
Some of the linkage connecting to your octave key is sticking. Sometimes this can be corrected by turning the neck slightly so the pad up on top there seats properly. Play your G and then press the octave key. Look at what is moving. One of these moving parts is sticking.
