alto saxophone trouble?
i can make notes on my alto but my problem is that i can not make any sounds but 1 and i just got the sax today with an instructional booklet but i don't know where any notes are on the sax and the book doesn't teach me.
neither does the cd or dvd it comes with, ive tried hitting combinations of notes like three notes at a time and it just picks ONE of the notes and doesnt play anything else.
This is not something you can learn by yourself. In fact, trying to do it the way you are doing will likely to cause you to develop some bad habits that are hard to correct: better to learn the right way the first time. It will save you a lifetime of heartache.
I'm serious: put the saxophone away until you have a competent teacher to teach you. No one can diagnose your playing problem over the internet like this.
