Tenor saxophone key oil?

I'm a beginner, and my keys have started squeaking. How urgently should I deal with this? Do I need to hold practice till I get the 'rubbing' sorted? Also, what's the best oil for a tenor sax, and how should it be applied to the relevant area?
I'm asking about squeaking/creaking keys, not sticky pads!

You really need to ask your band director.

Brand of oil does not matter, but your director may have a preference.

As for the key hinges, basically you pull the "screw" or "pin" out, apply the oil into the hinge, then put the screw back in. Seriously, get your band director to do this for you or, if you are adept with mechanical things like this, get him/her to show you how to do this before you do it.
