A Fantastic Christmas Live Concert Making Use Of IPad And IPhone Apps
The first time I saw the video clip of this fantastic technology guys playing a Christmas tune in harmony using only their iPad's as well as iPhones, I was almost half anticipating Steve Jobs to be released dressed like a Santa Claus to be able to spread some Apple freebies for the holidays. However seriously, as an artist myself, I cant help however appreciate that technology may bring not just convenience for our enterprise and communication but can also be employed in the performing arts. Surely they are using digital applications, but without any talent for music, it's a pretty hard deal to even set up a synchronized show and all only using tablet PCs and Smart phones. But innovative idea that I am sure, several will tend to follow was over by guys from North Points band. Some with the applications that were used in this kind of concert was the SoundGrid, NLogFree, Tune Bell. There was at certain items where they used Guitarist, iGog, and Bassist for "Carol of the Bells" as well as the app iGog and Bassist. Pocket Organ,Saxophone Musicofx and Percussions app was used within the part of "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree'. For a few, its just waste of time and then for some who like music, almost all that they had to say was ba humbag! But through technical viewpoint, this concept actually represents the future, or even to all artists. Not one technologies will be able to replace the traditional sound of a live genuine piano compared to a digital a single. A actual guitar sound and the feel of the strings operating through a guitar artist's hands could never be digitally replicated. Yet we cannot totally ignore this is indeed the direction into the future.
