Question about saxophone mouthpeices.?
I am primarily a tenor sax player, and I play on an otto link metal 7. I'll be playing Bari this summer and need a good mouth piece. I tried some ottolink and meyer hard rubber and so far my favorite is the 7 ottolink. I'm going to order an assortment off of wwbw, and need some advice for which ones to try. 100-250 range. I'm looking for a loud tone, for a jazz band.
Almost ANY Meyer mouthpiece... Meyer has had alot of HIGH performance mouthpieces used by pros like Phil Woods. Metal mp's can get loud... but yet undesirably BRIGHT at times... But if the Meyer wasn't that good... then you can also try the Runyon Metal... You look at reviews that will say LOUD... if thats what you want...
